Even though I never spent real money, I do own a fair amount of hair accessories and props, all won by doing Series. If you complete the Weekly Spree you usually get an expensive jewelry item which you can use for that purpose. It's perfectly fine to use out of season items, but make sure you wear 1 expensive in season item. DO max out your season bonus at all times.It's better to aim for Top Look a few times a week with looks that you're really confident about, than being broke all the time and struggling to get your Weekly Spree (or worse: not completing Series!). So it'd be a waste to spend all your money on that challenge. For example if the challenge features a certain hair accessoire that you don't own, you're probably not gonna get a Top Look anyway. don't try to max out your unworn bonus on EVERY single challenge.

Try to work with (both unworn or worn) items you already own UNLESS you're willing and able to spend the full 1400. Which means it won't give you a Top Look unless you add more items. The new one will cost you 800, and that would mean that your unworn bar (which maxes out at 1400) will only be halfway up. Let's say you can pick between a dress you already own or a buying new one. In general only buy items if you can max out unworn.Always do the dailies and try to spend under 500.Check out Facebook groups to see what items are trending / mostly used on each challenge and get your inspiration from that.So spending 2000 diamonds to enter, while with 2000 cash you could've entered a bunch of other challenges, feels like a waste. Just consider that Flashback items are usually way more expensive. And since I'm not doing Flashbacks I don't need them anyway. The convert rate is 1/1 so imo it's just as valuable. I don't agree to that and always convert a good amount of my diamonds to cash. Cash vs Diamonds I often see people saying that you have to save your diamonds because they're hard to obtain.Don't bother about Flashbacks unless you already own most of the items.This will give you a little extra cash before the new week starts. If you notice you already made it to 28 challenges before the end of the week, only stick to challenges that don't require buying new items.If you notice a challenge is getting expensive, you can skip it.

This also means you don't have to do ALL the challenges.

Not saying these are golden rules, but this is what works for me personally

Note: if you WANT to spend money it's your choice and perfectly fine, but it doesn't guarantee good scores either and I'm just trying to help out fellow broke players! :) I'm not saying this to brag, but I've never spent a single penny on the game and I thought it's good to point out that you don't have to spend money to get good scores. I'm a level 41 player who often gets 4,5+ scores, sometimes 5+ and very occasionally a Top Look happens.

I agree that their prices are really high, and that's why I want to give you tips about how to get decent Covet scores without having to spend 100's of (real) dollars. Sometimes I see people complaining about how expensive Covet is.
